I had one of the card which should be replaced by Sony as a card which can be defected. I applied for replacement and Sony didn't contact me back for weeks. Today I had a Card Error and I lost all photos and videos. Never again Sony. I back to SanDisc.

Errors in recording still images

I purchased 2 cards for use in a Sony A7r4 for still images. One works, one continues to show color banding in some blocks of images. I cannot predict where it shows up in a series of images and cannot be resolved with card software. Sony support is not available to help with this issue so I feel abandoned and not able to use this very expensive SD card. My best guess is that there is a defect in the "write to" blocks on the card.

Card Malfunctioned 4 Months after Purchase

Initially when I purchased the card, it functioned remarkably well on my Lumix camera, and I used it once every 2-3 weeks or so for light video recording until 4 months after, where it kept throwing a "card read error" and I wasn't able to neither save photos/videos on the camera nor access certain files on my MAC and PC machines. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SONY has discontinued its Customer Service until further notice, so I cannot contact them for a fix/resolution/exchange. I wish it lasted longer given the cost and image of its long-lasting ability/durability. Maybe I just received a defective piece. Since it actually doesn't work, it only seems fair that it receives a "Poor" rating - until I can get a working piece I can actually use.
