Notice for Sony product owners: Termination of YouTube service availability affecting 2012 BRAVIA TVs
Dear Valued Sony Customer,
It has been confirmed that the “New YouTube on TV” application on certain 2012 Sony BRAVIA TV as listed below will experience symptoms of “Black Screen and Freezing”, or an “Error Message” will be displayed and the video will stop playing. The symptoms being experienced are not due to a fault in the TV.
However, due to these issues Sony has decided to delete the YouTube icon accessible on the affected 2012 BRAVIA TVs after 30th September 2016. The “New YouTube on TV” function will no longer be available on the affected 2012 BRAVIA TVs after 30th September 2016.
