Why are the toolbar buttons not available in Internet Explorer 5.* and 6.0?

The Back, History, Refresh and Search buttons are not found in the toolbar of Internet Explorer.

Please refer to the steps below to display the buttons:

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Click the View tab and click Toolbars.
3. Ensure that the Standard Buttons option has been selected.
Note:
If this option is not selected, no buttons will be shown.
4. Click Customize.
5. Ensure that the Back and Search buttons are shown in the Current toolbar buttons in the Customize Toolbar dialog box.
Note:
If the buttons are not shown, select the corresponding boxes in the Available toolbar buttons: box and click Add.
6. Click Close.

Note:
When the buttons are hidden behind the address bar or the link bar, drag them to move from side to side or up and down.
For Internet Explorer 6.0, click Toolbars -> Lock the toolbars to release it and then move the buttons by the drag-and-drop method.
