Why can't I use NetMeeting with the ISDN (Integrated Service Digital Network) line?

Why can't I use NetMeeting with the ISDN (Integrated Service Digital Network) line?
    or
Why can't I communicate through [NetMeeting] if my machine is connected to the Internet using the ISDN line?

As situations are different depending on the connection to the ISDN line, please refer to the following:

    - For terminal adaptor (TA)
When you connect your computer to the ISDN line through TA, [NetMeeting] can be used without problems since a global IP address is set to your computer. Should you encounter problems, please contact the manufacturer of your TA or your Internet Service Provider.

    - For ISDN Dial Up Router (router)
If you connect to the ISDN line through the router, your computer is connected to the Internet using the NAT function since a global address is set to the router.

If the computer is connected to the router, a private IP address is set to the computer by the router. Therefore, it is not possible to access the computer from external devices (other computers connected to the Internet) via the router.
This being the case, [NetMeeting] cannot be used if your computer is connected to the ISDN line through the router.

Some routers, however, accept the settings so that external devices can access your computer. For detailed information, please contact the manufacturer of the router or your Internet Service Provider.
