There are several "Windows 2000 Hotfix (Pre-SP*) See Q****** for more information" in the [Add/Remove Programs] of [Control Panel]. Will there be any problem if I've deleted one of them? How do I reinstall it?

"Windows 2000 Hotfix (Pre-SP*) See Q****** for more information" (hereinafter referred to as "Hotfix") is a program that corrects the problems of Windows 2000. You may use your computer without deleting it.

Several kinds of "Hotfix" are installed at the factory shipped state. New "Hotfix" programs are sometimes added when you download update programs from the Microsoft web page.

If you have uninstalled the "Hotfix" that were installed in the factory, re-setup the machine with the Recovery CD-ROM to re-install them. If you have uninstalled the "Hotfix" that were downloaded from the web page, download the same update program (including "Hotfix") again.

    --Note--
When you initialize the hard disk drive with the Recovery CD-ROM, the files stored on the hard disk drive will be all erased. Make sure that important data is backed up with floppy disks before you reset the system.
For further information, please refer to the "Reset the machine with the recovery CD-ROM" section in the user's manual.
