Why are the names of drivers, folders and files displayed in blue?
The names of the drivers, folders and files are displayed in blue.
The names of the drivers, folders and files appear in blue when compression or encryption is selected. This is only possible when the file system is NTFS.
Note: The Compression setting mentioned here is different from the Compressed Folders function of Windows® XP.
Please refer to the steps below to prevent the names from appearing in blue colour:
1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
2. Click the Tools tab and click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab and unselect the Show encrypted or compress NTFS file in color option.
4. Click OK.
