The Auto Standby setting does not work on the HT-AX7 speaker.
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.
If the Auto Standby function is set to ON, the speaker system enters standby mode automatically when you do not operate the speaker system if no signal is input for about 20 minutes. You can confirm if the setting is ON on System Settings → Auto Standby on the Sony | Home Entertainment Connect or Sony | BRAVIA Connect app remote control screen.
However, when a smartphone is connected to the speaker system via HFP (Hands-free Profile) or HSP (Headset Profile), the Auto Standby function does not work. This also applies if you are using the multipoint connection function and one of the devices is connected via HFP or HSP.
To avoid this issue, on the connected smartphone, disable the phone call function on the speaker system. With the Android 13 OS, for example, follow these steps:
- On the smartphone Settings menu, select Device connection.
- Select the settings icon to the right of the headphone's model name.
- Turn off Phone call.
Note: For details, refer to the smartphone manual.
