The screen brightness suddenly changes. (OLED TV)

The screen suddenly gets brighter or darker.

    If Auto luminance levelAmbient light sensorLight and Color sensor or Light sensor is set to On, the brightness of the TV screen changes to match the ambient brightness. For assistance on how to access Auto luminance levelAmbient light sensorLight and Color sensor or Light sensor settings, check the following.

    1. Open the  Settings screen.
    2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
      • Select Display & Sound — Ambient Optimisation Pro — Auto adjust according to ambient light — Advanced settings — Auto luminance level.
      • Select Display & SoundPictureAmbient light sensor or Light sensor — Auto luminance level.
      • Select Display & SoundPictureLight and Color sensorBrightness.
      • Select Display & SoundPictureLight sensor.
      • Select DisplayPictureLight sensor.

    Notes: Light sensor or Ambient light sensor is located around the center of the bottom part of the TV screen.

    If an image is displayed on the TV screen with which screen image retention may easily occur, the function that gradually reduces the screen brightness operates in order to protect the TV from screen image retention. If you change the screen or perform another action that eliminates the risk of image retention occurring, the brightness returns to normal.
    If the brightness change is inconvenient, lower the Peak Luminance setting. This will reduce the brightness change.

    1. Open the  Settings screen.
    2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
      • Select Display & Sound — Picture & Sound — Picture — Brightness — Peak luminance Medium or Low.
      • Select Display & SoundPictureBrightness Peak luminance Medium or Low.
      • Select Display & SoundPictureAdvanced settings Brightness Peak luminance Medium or Low.
      • Select Display Picture Advanced settings Brightness Peak Luminance Medium or Low.

    Notes: With screens such as the HOME screen and the app's top screen that contain many bright still images, this function will especially frequently operate.
