Wavy noise is annoying when watching recorded content through external devices.

On the connected device, change the output resolution from 1080p to 1080i, or to Original Resolution. (The name may differ depending on the model.)
If the connected device does not have these settings, set Random noise reduction in the TV to Low with the following procedure.

1. Open the  Settings screen. How to access Settings:
   • Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
     1. Press the  (Quick Settings) button on the remote control.
     2. Select  Settings.
   • Using the HOME button
     1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
     2. Select Settings.
2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
   • Select Display & Sound — Picture — Clarity — Random noise reduction.
   • Select Display & Sound — Picture — Advanced settings — Clarity — Random noise reduction.
   • Select Picture & Display — Picture adjustments — Advanced settings — Clarity — Random noise reduction.
3. Select Low.

NOTE: If Random noise reduction is set to Low, slight noise may be visible on the screen.
