Sound from DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL) and HDMI (ARC) are not muted even when the MUTE button on the TV remote control is pressed.
You can't mute the sound from the devices connected through the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL) and HDMI (ARC) port of the TV using the MUTE button on the TV remote control. This is a TV specification and part of the normal operation. You may lower the volume or mute the sound from the connected device.
NOTE: When an audio system is connected via ARC and BRAVIA sync control is set to ON, sound from the audio system will be muted by BRAVIA Sync.
