    Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) is the current version of the Internet Protocol, the identification system the Internet uses to send information between devices.

    Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is the new version of the Internet Protocol. It has 128-bit address space which is 4 times wider in bits in compared to IPv4's 32-bit address space.
