The Google Assistant comes up even when I don’t say "Ok Google"
IMPORTANT: This article only applies to specific products and/or operating systems. Please check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article.
This issue can occur if the phrase Ok Google comes from the TV, for example during a commercial. The TV's Built-in microphone might hear that and react to it. If this happens, on the remote control, press the BACK button to cancel the Google Assistant ready status.

- Open the Settings screen. How to access Settings
- Select Sound or Display & Sound.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Ambient Optimisation → Acoustic auto calibration → TV position.

- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select System → Accessibility → Screen reader or TalkBack.
