Can I use any brand of MHL cable?

IMPORTANT: Not all Sony Televisions have MHL cable capability. To verify whether your product manufactured by Sony has this function, check the specifications in the operating instructions supplied with the product.

Any MHL-certified cable should work.

• For 2K signals, be sure to use an authorized MHL 2 cable bearing the MHL logo
• For 4K signals and 4K compatible smartphone, be sure to use an authorized MHL 3 cable bearing the MHL logo.

We recommend and support the use of a Sony MHL cable. However, the production of the DLC-MCxx series has ended. You can only purchase the DLC-MCxx series from those that are commercially-available.

NOTE: Sony has not verified connectivity with commercial products from other manufacturers.
