Sound is delayed from the headset when viewing videos
Due to the characteristic of Bluetooth wireless technology, sound may delay when viewing videos.
Also, a slight delay occurs in the receiving end when making calls or during music playback.
Below steps may help to improve the situation:
- Try to close all apps except the one you are using to view the videos.
- Disconnect and reconnect your headphones to the device.
For headphones that are compatible with Sony | Sound Connect app, check the Bluetooth Connection Quality mode or Wireless Playback Quality on both the headphones and the connected device. Check the compatible models for Sony | Sound connect app here.
Note: The images below are examples using the WF-1000XM5.
- Start the Sound Connect app on your mobile device.
- Select the My Device tab, then select Device Settings.
- On the Sound tab, tap the down arrow button on the right side of the Bluetooth Connection Quality, and select Prioritize Stable Connection.
On the connected device settings (smartphone, Walkman, etc.): If you have the option to select the SBC or AAC codec in the Wireless Playback Quality setting, select AAC. For details, refer to the device manual.
