TERMS & CONDITIONS


  1. The “Sign Up For The Ultimate Reward” (“Giveaway”) is organised by Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Sony”) and by taking part in this Giveaway, you agreed to be bound by the following terms & conditions (“Terms & Conditions”).

    2. QUALIFYING PERIOD
  2. The Giveaway qualifying period is from 9 Nov 2023 ,00:00H to 31 Dec 2023, 23:59H (SGT), both dates inclusive (“Qualifying Period”).
  3. Sony reserves the right to change the Qualifying Period.


    4. ELIGIBILITY
  4. You must be 18 years and above, be a resident of Singapore and be registered as a new My Sony Rewards member to participate in the Giveaway. Existing My Sony Rewards members are not eligible for the Giveaway.
  5. The following categories of people are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway:
    6. Employees of Sony and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies of Sony together with their employees, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each of the aforesaid persons are not eligible to participate in this Giveaway.


    HOW TO PARTICIPATE
  6. A participant must meet the below criteria:
    7. a. Participant is required to sign up for an account at https://mysony.sony-asia.com/sg/contact/signup.
    b. Participant must be subscribed to the marketing newsletter and emailers at the point of account creation until at least the Draw Date as specified below.
  7. There will be 1 Giveaway winner in total. The winner for the Giveaway will be determined solely by a random draw which will take place in Singapore on 15 January 2024 at 15:00H (SGT) (”Draw Date”). Unless Sony notifies otherwise, the random draw will be conducted by means of a computerised system in front of an audience at a meeting that is open to the general public on the above Draw Date and time. The “Draw Date” is subject to change based on any prevailing regulations and guidance on Safe Management Measures for COVID-19.


    8. PRIZES
  8. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, each Participant stands a chance to win an attractive prize as set out below:
    9. • SG$5,000 (Five Thousand Singapore Dollars) cash.
  9. The Prize is non-exchangeable and is not redeemable for credit or other prizes.
  10. Sony reserves the right to, at any time and in its sole and absolute discretion, replace and/or substitute the Prize with any other item of a similar value.
  11. The winner will be notified via email (as provided for in Clause 10) within seven (7) calendar days of the Draw Date.
  12. The winner shall be contacted using their contact and identification details (such as their email address) which they provided to Sony.
  13. The winner will be notified through email that they have won a Prize and a Redemption letter will be sent to winner via email. Sony accepts no responsibility or liability in the event that a winner cannot be contacted and/or in the event the winner do collect the prize within the stipulated period.
  14. Sony reserves the right not to award the Prize or part thereof to any person who, for any reason whatsoever, fails to meet any stipulated requirement in order to claim the Prize. Sony reserves the right not to award the Prize to the winner and/or reclaim the Prize or its value (based on Suggested Retail Price) from the winner, it shall be in Soy's sole discretion to award the Prize(s) to another participant.
  15. The winner is solely responsible for all costs incurred in connection with their claiming of the Prize, including but not limited to travelling or transportation expenses, insofar as these are not specifically indicated as part of the Prize.
  16. Sony shall not be liable for warranties, maintenance, taxes or any additional costs of the Prizes. The Prizes will be awarded only in Singapore.


    17. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
  17. Information - All information, including personal information (“Information”) submitted or known to Sony and/or its affiliates in connection with this Giveaway will only be used for the purposes set out in and treated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and those stipulated in the Privacy Policy of Sony at https://www.sony-asia.com/microsite/privacypolicy/sg/ (“Privacy Policy)
  18. By participating in the Giveaway, you agree to consent to Sony:
    19. a. to the use of the Information, without compensation, for Sony's promotional and marketing purposes; and
    b. to the use of the Information, without compensation, for the purpose of administration in relation to the Giveaway.
  19. Each individual participating to this Giveaway acknowledges that:
    20. a. in respect of any Personal Information disclosed by her/him to Sony or obtained by Sony from her/him pursuant to this Giveaway:
    b. she/he is authorised to disclose such Personal Information; such disclosure complies with any Privacy Legislation from any country, within the geographical scope of this Giveaway, and the use of such Personal Information by Sony as contemplated by this Giveaway (including, without limitation, the disclosure of such Personal Information to Sony's external agencies or third parties)


    GENERAL
  20. Sony reserves the right to disqualify the winner or revoke any prizes awarded if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the winner has breached these Terms and Conditions, or on any grounds as Sony may in its sole discretion decide.
  21. Sony's decisions on all matters relating to the Giveaway shall be final and binding.
  22. Creation of My Sony Rewards membership account is subject to My Sony Membership Terms and Conditions.
  23. Sony reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary these terms and conditions without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extend, terminating or suspending this Giveaway, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and number of winners, and the timing of any act to be done, and all Participants shall be bound by these amendments.
  24. Sony shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with the Giveaway and/or redemption or use of the Prizes howsoever arising, including but not limited to, fulfillment of the prize, any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected and/or lost in the post, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by Sony of this Giveaway shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against Sony for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
  25. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Giveaway, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  26. The Terms and Conditions of this Challenge shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
