Why can't the 1.2MB formatted floppy disk be used with VAIO that has Windows 2000 pre-installed?
VAIO with Windows 2000 pre-installed does not support 1.2 MB formatted floppy disk (2-mode) except externel floppy disk drive option model.

- Windows 2000 standard floppy disk driver is used in Windows 2000 pre-installed VAIO.
- The standard format type of the floppy disk is 1.44MB and 720KB in countries other than Japan, and Windows 2000 standard floppy disk driver covers only these two format type.
