[Windows Vista] How to change the restrictions on users' accounts?

When changing settings that may influence the normal operation of the computer and other users, set to User Account Control screen according to the displaying order. It can be changed and set by both Administrator and standard user in Local Policy screen.

■ Changing the Administrator's action
 1. Click Start, type secpol.msc in the search bar and press Enter.

2. When the User Account Control message appears, click Continue or type the Administrator's passport password.
* If the User Account Control message is not displayed, please proceed with the steps below.
3. Click Local Policy and double-click Security options.

4. Double-click User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode from the list.

5. Then you can choose one of the following setting items

- [Elevate without prompting ]
    When the operating software which asks for confirmation, you can act as administrator without displaying the User Account Control screen.
- [Prompted for credentials]
    When the operating software asks for confirmation, when User Account Control is displayed, you will be asked for the Administrator's Passport password.
- [Prompted for consent]
The default setting.When User Account Control screen displays, apply for permission to continue.

6.Click OK.

■ Changing the standard user’s action
1. Click Start, type secpol.msc in the search bar and press Enter.
2. When the User Account Control screen appears, click Continue or type the Administrator’s passport password.
* If the User Account Control message is not displayed, please proceed with the steps below.
3. Click Local Policy and double-click Security options.
4. In the list, double-click User Accounts Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users.
5. Then you can choose one of the following setting items:
- [Automatically deny elevation requests]
If User’s accounts restriction screen is not displayed, you will not be allowed to operate as an administrator. An error message will occur when the policy regards the running software as a threat 
- [Prompt for credentials]

6. Click OK.
