How to optimize the hard disk drive using Disk Defragmenter?
Note: To run Disk Defragmenter, there must be as least 15% of free space in the hard disk drive.
Follow the steps below start Disk Defragmenter:
1. Login using administrator's rights.
2. Click Start, right-click My Computer and click Manage.
3. Click Disk Defragmenter.
4. Select a drive and click Analyze. Wait for the hard disk drive analysing to complete. This may take some time.
5. Click Defragment.
Depending on the condition of the drive, this process may take from a few minutes to hours to complete.
