Why can't the Video Chat function in Windows Messenger be used?
After running the Windows Update program, the Video Chat function cannot be used.
Microsoft is currently investigating this symptom (as of 21 May 2002). Do not install the Windows Messenger Update Program (video/audio) found in Windows Update.
From Add and Remove Programs, remove the item Windows XP Hotfix (SP1) [See Q310507 for more information] [Windows XP Hotfix (SP1) [See Q316397 for more information].
