How to set up Wi-Fi® service on the Network speaker system.

    NOTE: If model-specific information is needed to complete any of these steps, refer to the instructions supplied with the product.

    When setting up the network speaker on a wireless network it is important to understand that the network environment may be different. This solution will help in the set up with 3 different environments.

    Using the supplied CD-ROM on a computer with a Windows® operating system.

    IMPORTANT: When performing this set up, it is important to use the setup disc or installation disc supplied with the speaker. A message that the speaker cannot be found may appear when the wrong disc is used.

    1. Make sure that the computer is wirelessly connected to the active Internet network.
    2. Connect the AC adaptor to the speaker.
    3. Load the supplied CD-ROM into the disc drive on the computer.
      NOTE: If the program does not start automatically click the NS_Setup.exe file from the disc drive.
    4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the installation.
    5. Once the installation is complete, click Play test sound to confirm that the installation was successful.

    Wireless connection using a mobile device:

    IMPORTANT: The ability to connect to a wireless network using a mobile device is not available if using the SA-NS300 or the SA-NS400 network speakers.

    1. Connect the AC adaptor to the speaker.
    2. Install the appropriate application for the mobile device being used.

    Manual setup using an Access Point Scan:

    NOTE: Write down the Wireless network Name (SSID) and the Security Key (WEP or WPA) prior to following these steps.

    1. Connect the AC adaptor to the speaker.
    2. Connect the speaker to the computer.
    3. Select Sony_Wireless_Audio_Setup from the network list.
      NOTES:
      - If using a Apple Mac OS, click the network icon on the top of the desktop screen.
      - If using a Windows OS, click the network icon on the Start bar.
    4. Access the Sony network Device Setting screen.
      - If using a Apple Mac OS, start the Safari® Web browser, and select Bonjour under Bookmarks . Then select the speaker.
      - If using a Windows OS, start an Internet browser and enter https://192.168.100.1 in the address field.
    5. Select the desired language from the Language Setup screen.
    6. Select network Settings.
    7. Select the appropriate SSID and enter the Security Key .
    8. Select Apply .
    9. Select OK .
    10. Reconnect the computer to your network.

    Using the WPS push button method .

    1. Connect the AC adaptor to the speaker.
    2. Press the WPS button on the access point.
    3. Press the WPS button on the speaker for 3 seconds.
    4. The LINK indicator will light up green when the connection is made.

    Using a wired network .

    NOTE: Only the DHCP or Fixed IP methods are supported.

    1. Connect the AC adaptor to the speaker.
    2. Make sure the computer and router are turned on.
    3. Connect the speaker to the router using a LAN cable.
    4. Connect the router to the computer using a LAN cable.
    5. Turn the speaker on.
    6. The LINK indicator will turn amber when a connection is made.
